FMC Review: EditGroove’s UserMatic
November 13, 2008 by Dave)
One thing I hate is the dreaded beach balls in Final Cut Pro. Just when I get a good rhythm going that darned beach ball pops up and causes me to trash my preferences. It’s my biggest pet peeve about using Final Cut Pro.
Thankfully there’s a new companion in town. EditGroove’s new UserMatic makes life a lot easier for the Final Cut user. It’s simple one click preference storing, recalling, and trashing really simplifies the Final Cut experience. The ability to recall specific preferences after trashing your preferences saves a lot of time in resetting everything. Let’s take a look inside EditGroove’s new UserMatic.

David –
Thanks for all the kind words about EditGroove’s UserMatic(TM).
We’re glad to see you like it, and hope you and your viewers are able to take advantage of it to unleash the full power and productivity that’s in Final Cut Pro.
I know you didn’t have much time to get into some of the details of customizing the various presets; or further into using the ‘Backup’ and ‘Deleted’ features, networking over SAN, etc.
So please let your viewers/readers know that the “official” EditGroove video tutorials are on the way, and will delve more extensively into the power we’ve packed into this deceptively simple-looking app. We’ll be announcing those videos on the website at http://www.EditGroove.com … and in the meantime, of course, there’s lots of other helpful info on the site, and in the PDF User Guide, and online FAQ.
Again, Dave, thanks for all the good words.
Best,
Ron Diamond
