I agree! Cinema 4D is excellent CGI software. I utilized version 10.5 in four of my films, including my “Wish I Had An Ikan” contest-entry, and my video-testimonial for Film School On Demand.

Of course, some time and mental-effort are required in order to become proficient at it, but the learning is facilitated by a well-designed graphical user interface; most of the controls are immediately in view, they are placed exactly where one would expect them to be, and the menu-nested functions are aptly-named. So, the entire layout makes sense.

Within an hour of installing the software and reading the support materials, I was deep into the production of one of the shots that I used in my film. Whenever I needed further instruction, I consulted a superb Cinema 4D tutorial that is available at lynda.com.
