Learn Premiere Elements 10 as an entry into video editing

Tweet I have been asked by several non pros about Elements 10. When Lynda.com asked me to do a course it was a perfect opportunity to shed some light on Adobe’s entry level editor. While I say “entry level” there are many great features and workflows that really can get you editing fast even if you have never edited before. Adobe really made a fun and efficient program for those wanting to get editing fast. If you have always wanted […]

  • FMC Tutorial – Using Clip Notes in Premiere Pro CS4

Tweet One of the great features in Premiere Pro CS4 is Adobe Clip Notes. Clip Notes allows you to send your client, director, or anyone you want a rendered sequence wrapped in a pdf. Once they get it they can add notes to the document. When they are done it sends it back to you and you import those notes into Premiere Pro CS4. All the notes appear as markers. This allows for precise edit fixes! Enjoy!

  • Video Editing Software

Tweet I get asked “Dave, what software do you like for editing?” My toolbox is filled with Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, and Sony Vegas. They all have their own advantages and disadvantages. My suggestion is to try their demos if they have them and learn one. Most of the companies allow owners to transfer their licenses. This allows you to search places like Ebay below for good deals. Make sure the software is upgradeable. […]

FMC Review –Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 is ready for Primetime

Tweet It’s been amazing to me seeing folks on various social networks like Twitter and Facebook pondering the negatives of Adobe’s new upgrade to its CS video production pipeline. As an “avid” user of the new CS4 products and a beta tester of Premiere Pro, I am here to say “What are you guys thinking?” I for one love, yes love, the workflow of Adobe Premiere Pro CS4.
